New program reminder notification

Users now receive email notifications when program steps become available, not just for steps locked behind. This includes content scheduled to open on future dates after the program is assigned.

Relocation: Enrollment rules & Program administrators

Program enrollment rules have recently relocated to it's own 'Enrollment Rules' tab. Additionally, program administrators have been relocated from the bottom of the program page into the Program settings modal. Adding program admins now matches how you add for example, collaborators to a course.

Change order or navigation

As part of the accessibility work, we have swaped the order of the navigation. With this new update, if you're using keyboard or voice over to navigate, "Continue" will come before "Back" in the navigation.

Anonymous Sliding scale

Posting anonymously will be the default option for all new Sliding scale cards unless you to choose to disable anonymous responses in Create before you publish. All existing sliding scale cards will keep their original configuration.

Streamlined self-unenrollment

Learners who have self-enrolled to a program can now unenroll from the Program overview page and self-enrolled programs are no longer classed as assignments and will not appear in the learner's 'To-do list' or 'Assigned to you' areas.

Reduced motion support

We built this toggle for people who are sensitive to motion. Simply head to your device settings and toggle on 'Reduce motion' to turn off animations and create a calmer user experience in Sana Learn.

Group Visibility

You can now control exactly who sees your content. Admins can filter content by user groups and manage access in bulk or one piece at a time. You can create department-specific training or keep sensitive materials secure, group visibility makes content management straightforward and safe. You can find this feature in Manage > Content, plus the publish modal, share modal, and content settings.

Group visibility is available for Programs, In-person events and Course Editions as well.

Visibility moves to Settings

Choosing who sees a course directly now happens in course settings rather than the detail page. Built for course creators and admins, this change makes managing course visibility quick and consistent across all pages and formats.

Increased contrast on borders

Darker borders have rolled out across the Sana Learn UI to enhance accessibility, especially for people with visual impairments. The update is automatic but you'll notice it even more when interacting with focus and hover states.

Autoplay on narration videos

Now, narrated videos won't start automatically unless you enable them in Settings, but you can still turn on autoplay in the narration settings if you prefer. This provides more control for people who use assistive tech or have accessibility needs.

Revisit Assessments

Learners can now review their assessment responses right after finishing, whether they pass, fail, or run out of attempts. When correct answers are hidden, learners can still see their own responses and think about their progress. This cuts confusion and turns every assessment into a chance to learn.

Hide Card

Content creators can now hide any card from learners without losing the data or responses stored behind the scenes. Hidden cards won't show up in the course or count toward completion, but they'll still appear in insights for analysis. Perfect for work-in-progress content, internal notes, or old surveys you still need data from.

Group filtering in Exercises

Filter for specific groups within exercises, making it easier to manage, assign, and analyze group-based activities. Find the filtering option in the top right corner of the exercise page.

SCORM file to Course Generation

You can now convert your existing SCORM content into beautiful, interactive Sana courses. Simply upload your file and watch Sana's assistant transform each page into a corresponding card, preserving the original content while applying Sana's engaging style. The quality varies depending on your source file's complexity, but this feature accelerates content migration and makes your courses more interactive than ever. Find it in the Generate from file card within the card picker in the course editor.
