Multi-select user attributes

We now have user attributes that allow multiple values for a single user. This can be used for building automations, such as smart groups, enrollment rules, and filtering in all manage user tables, as well as improved reporting in Insights for users with multiple overlapping attributes.

Content attributes available for programs

Replacing "Tags", content attributes are a powerful new way to structure your content in Sana. Set expiration dates, assign content owners, add detailed notes, and create a customized organization framework that fits your unique needs. Found in Manage > Content > Manage attributes, this flexible system allows admins to create custom categories, making filtering and browsing content easy. Your existing tags automatically become categories in the new system.

New Program permissions for custom access roles
We introduced two new organization permissions for more granular control of program actions. Default access levels remain unchanged; however, these permissions can be removed from custom roles if necessary.

Self-starts and assignments progress details

Numbers for both self-starts and assignment progress are displayed as tooltips on course and user detail pages.

Sequential completion in self-paced courses

To ensure learners complete cards in order, you can now toggle on the sequential completion feature in Settings for self-paced courses. This feature enforces a specific progression path in the course while allowing users to preview upcoming content. It strikes the perfect balance—admins can ensure cards are completed sequentially, and learners gain structure while maintaining the freedom to explore what's ahead.
